Welcome to The Twin Cities Alumni Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority
Remember that you do not have to have been a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma in college to join our alumni chapter. If you were not a member of a college chapter you may join our alumni chapter as an auxiliary member. Auxiliary members may hold office in an alumni chapter and are treated like regular members of the group.
We also hold a biennial garage sale to help generate extra money for the chapter so we can continue to make donations to organizations that need assistance. Our
alumni chapter is based out of the St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota metro
area. We have twelve active members ranging in age from their 20’s to their
60’s. We usually meet once a month and plan at least one service project a
month, some of which are done during our meetings. Annual chapter dues are
$8.00. National alumni dues are currently $20.00 so a total of $28.00 is
paid per year for membership.
Some
of our annual service projects include working with the Jacob Wetterling
Foundation; volunteering at art fairs; making decorations; trimming
Christmas trees and making homemade cards for nursing homes; making or
donating items to a local women’s shelter; volunteering at the Diabetes Art
Auction, PACER Benefit concerts, Special Olympics, and food shelves.
