The Gamma Sigma Sigma Awards Program

The sorority has adopted criteria for each of its awards as the basis for which chapter and colony award winners are selected.  All chapters and colonies (as appropriate) are evaluated biennially based on these criteria.  Points are reported by each member of the National Board of Directors to include recognition of all activities.  The National Secretary, as Chair of the Awards Committee, is responsible for compiling point information and reporting results to the National President.

For its awards to individual members, the sorority sets forth criteria and selects winners based on nominations received from the National Board of Directors, chapters or members.  Nominations are considered by the National Board of Directors at its summer meeting between conventions and in the spring preceding National Convention.

Award descriptions appear below - please see the Awards Section of The Staff for more information on criteria for these awards.
