NBD MATCHING EXERCISE

The following matching exercise will assist you in becoming familiar with the duties of the National Board of Directors.

1.   Has the authority to notarize sorority documents, records minutes at Conventions, NBD meetings, and National Executive Committee Meeting, and distributes reports of these meetings.

 

2. Serves on the NBD without voting power, advising on parliamentary questions based on "Robert's Rules of Order, Newly Revised." 

 

3. Presides in the absence of the President and automatically becomes President upon the death or resignation of the President.

 

4. Presides at all Conventions, serves as chairman of the NBD and National Executive Committee, appoints national committees as needed. 

 

5. Promotes and encourages the development of alumnae chapters and alumnae-at-large memberships.

 

6. Serves on the NBD without a vote as an advisor for a period of one year following retirement as President.

7. Accepts and keeps a permanent record of all monies received by the sorority and submits a report to the chapters; serves as chairman of the Finance Committee.

8. Coordinates planning and evaluation of the sorority's service program.

9. Encourages and directs the activities within a district and represents the district in the conduct of National affairs.

10. Responsible for membership services, coordinates and plans colonization activities and development of programs and resources devoted to the recruitment and retention of members on both the collegiate and alumni level.

11. Responsible for collegiate and alumni education and training programs; coordinators conferences.

12. Responsible for all publications and public relations activities.
